Atheist

posted in: Religion/Beliefs

I myself am an atheist. I practise no religion, nor do I ever intend to. I believe purely that I form my own fate, and that life is based on a series consequences. Thus I googled atheist and found this video on YouTube. Let it be an reminder that no matter what religion you follow you can not be accused of following the wrong one. Religion is a choice.
This is triggered by a discussion I had with an religious academic on Facebook in case you wondered.

Well, I think the bible is maybe pointing out that no matter WHAT you do with your life, if you don’t believe in god, none of it matters, and you are still a fool. Because why would anything else matter in the long run?

I think the argument/video is kind of lame, really, although I did like the statistic about 75% Christians in jail and .2% atheists in jail. If that stat is true, anyway.

And no, I’m not religious. I’m totally agnostic. I just don’t think it’s a very good argument :P

Of course, that’s what Christianity is all about, it’s the one religion everyone is meant to follow according to the bible (I left that part out). I just hate it when someone come and bash me because of my belief instead of just accepting that we have different beliefs.

Apt for me, because I have just started reading Dawkin’s “The God Delusion”. Highly recommend it if you’ve not already read it.
